Introduction

SARAL 2.0 is a national digital learning initiative designed to strengthen medical education across India. Sponsored under the project “Preparing a Centre of Excellence for Education of Health Professionals”, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation as part of the Pan-India Initiative for Medical Educators, the platform aims to enhance the quality, accessibility, and impact of teaching and learning in the health sciences.

This unified platform empowers educators and students by offering structured courses, expert learning resources, and collaborative tools. Developed and managed by SET Facility, AIIMS, SARAL 2.0 stands on strong academic principles and robust technical infrastructure.

SARAL 2.0 Educators

SARAL 2.0 empowers educators by offering a flexible, intuitive environment where they can design and deliver courses at their own pace. The Moodle-based platform enables teachers to upload lessons, create assessments, integrate multimedia, and structure complete modules with minimal technical effort. With drag-and-drop editing and ready-to-use teaching tools, course creation becomes efficient and seamless. Educators also benefit from built-in analytics that provide real-time insights into student engagement and performance, allowing them to adapt their teaching strategies and enhance learning outcomes effectively.

SARAL 2.0 Students

For students, SARAL 2.0 offers a simple and user-friendly learning experience that makes accessing courses and study materials effortless. The platform supports interactive learning through videos, quizzes, discussions, and gamified elements that encourage active participation and deeper understanding. Each learner receives a personalized dashboard where they can track progress, view deadlines, and monitor their learning milestones. With full compatibility through the Moodle Mobile App on Android and iOS, students can continue their studies anytime and anywhere—ensuring uninterrupted learning across all devices.
